Project Title: Cliff Road Demolition and Groundworks Package

 

Objective:

The objective of this project was to demolish the client’s existing house and prepare the site for a brand new home by completing all necessary groundworks.

 

Challenges:

The main challenge was the tight site conditions due to the close proximity to a narrow road. Despite this, the demolition and groundwork were relatively straightforward for the team.

 

Equipment and Methods:

The team used a 16-ton excavator and a 10-ton excavator to carefully dismantle the existing building piece by piece, segregating waste as they went. Dust suppression cannons were used to keep dust levels down and minimize environmental impact.

 

Outcomes:

After demolition, the groundwork phase included installing strip foundations, building up brickwork to the damp-proof course height, and fitting a block-and-beam floor with all necessary drainage. The client was exceptionally pleased with the results and invited the team back to complete the landscaping and driveway once the building was finished.

 

Final Feedback:

The project was a success, demonstrating the team’s ability to manage tight-site conditions and deliver a high-quality groundwork package. The positive client feedback and the follow-up invitation to do additional work were notable highlights.
